The Women
Kristin Hannah
Such a great closeup and overview of the America that went to war in Vietnam, and how it treated its sons and daughters as they returned.

Intermezzo
Sally Rooney
I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrator had the most lovely Irish accent. I had never read a Sally Rooney novel before, but was recommended this by a friend, and I enjoyed it very much. Being a sibling is hard, so is losing a parent, and being in love. Great novel!

The Women on Platform Two

Compelling and amazing story. Women's rights to birth control in 1960's and 1970's in Ireland. A truly remarkable read!

A lovely cozy fantasy with a coffee shop lean. The McGuffin is brought up constantly, but the characters and setting are enough to make it forgivable. Definitely a series I’m looking forward to continuing.

My Lady Greensleeves
Frederik Pohl
A very interesting book about segregation, classism, and the future of the police force. Quite thought provoking. Seeing the different viewpoints of those within the Jug and those without. A short story that gives just enough detail about the world it’s set in without wasting pages going too deep in it. This is just a slice of these lives, but it’s a very interesting slice.

Death's End
Cixin Liu
Interesting read, with lots of twists and turns. The last section VI was a let down and rather boring. I really liked how he made future societies and worlds sound plausible and authentic.

I Never Thought Of It That Way
Mónica Guzmán
This got a little too technical for me, so that I lost what her point was at some places. Lots of super interesting anecdotes and personal examples. Well worth the read. I have lots of questions from her book to try out!
