Pandora's Star

This is an expansive novel with a lot of great ideas. As a sci-fi, I enjoyed the story and the scale of ideas. However, what I found challenging was the number of characters and different story lines, which were a bit hard to keep track of. I also had issues with the pacing where it would pick up at some points, and then nothing much will happen for a long time.

This series continues to be entertaining. If you enjoyed the Southern Vampire series (aka True Blood) by Charlaine Harris, you will enjoy this series too.

Loved it. Funny, touching, important. Perfect combination of literary enthusiasm, Indigenous identity commentary, and ghosts!

Main character is extremely vapid and voiceover-like foreshadowing doesn't work.

Another great story set in the Inkworld....my only complaint was it seemed a bit long. I know there were a lot of difficulties to overcome, but it also seemed like they couldn't get a break until 600 pages in.

Masterful and thrilling, like a mash-up of the Titanic and Michael Crichton's Sphere.

Was decent. Lots of intermixing of characters relationships. Liked that it was from the different women’s perspectives.

All the cleverness of Sherlock Holmes, all the vastness and intrigue of the Roman Empire, do I need to say more?
